  • Contract type: Full time

We are the independent voice for water consumers in England and Wales. Since 2005, we have helped thousands of consumers resolve complaints against their water companies, providing free advice and support. Our work is driven by in-depth research, which we use to advocate for consumers and influence water companies, governments, and regulators.

The water sector is receiving unprecedented public attention, creating a unique opportunity for CCW to strengthen its position as one of the few trusted voices in the industry. Although CCW is a small organisation, we are a powerful campaigning force, punching above our weight. This is where our Communications team plays a key role—amplifying our voice through the media, engaging influential stakeholders in the industry and politics, and reaching the public.

We are seeking an individual to carry out a variety of communications duties. Key responsibilities will include engaging with local and regional media, both proactively and reactively, as well as fostering relationships with elected officials in England and Wales. In addition, this role will lead on a major area of our campaigning work, including designing and delivering messages, creating content for various channels, generating media coverage, managing social media, producing podcasts and blogs, collaborating with partners, and contributing to events.

In return, we offer a dynamic working environment with a fantastic benefits package, including a Civil Service Pension, Blended and Flexible Working Options, Travel Season Ticket Loans, free access to an Employee Assistance Programme, discounts via our STaR platform, and much more. We also cover the cost of annual CIPR membership (or equivalent) for our Comms team.
