Which agency regulates natural water sources?

The quality of fresh water, marine, surface and underground water across England and Wales is regulated by the Environment Agency (EA).

The EA uses a variety of standards and targets are to work out the potential impact of human activity, for example from industry and agriculture activity, and the action needed in order to protect water quality.
