Making sure water is affordable for every household and safeguarding services in the face of our rapidly changing climate are among the leading priorities in the Consumer Council for Water’s (CCW) most ambitious ever strategy.

CCW has today launched its draft three-year blueprint for 2021 to 2024 which sets out the mission, strategic objectives and campaigns that will shape our efforts to secure a fair deal for water consumers – now and in the future.

In our draft strategy 2021 - 2024, we set out our plans to help secure a fair deal for water consumers, now and in the future.

Our strategy is now centred around five key objectives:

  • Affordable water for everyone
  • Climate-resilient water and sewerage services for present and future consumers
  • Services shaped by the views of consumers
  • Services that meet everyone’s needs
  • Effective and easy-to-follow complaint processes

Our work will be brought to life through four major campaigns that we hope will resonate with household and business consumers and reflect their evolving needs as England and Wales continue to wrestle with the demands and damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

We believe our plans are clearer and more ambitious than at any point in our 16-year history but we want to hear your views and whether the strategy can deliver the outcomes that consumers need.

You can you respond by email to [email protected] or – if you’d rather talk directly to us – let us know and we can arrange a call.

The closing date for responses is 8th February 2021.
